For more than 25 years Gavin (Gav) Baskerville has been entertaining crowds around Australia, overseas and on the seas. His act is equal parts fun, silly and smart, combining original, clever observations, personal stories and a masterful use of wordplay. Beginning his career in Perth, Western Australia in 1999, winning the state final of RAW Comedy, Gav moved to Melbourne where he cut his teeth working with and learning from some of the biggest names on the Australian comedy circuit. In 2005 his personal life took him to Tasmania where he spent many years cultivating the Hobart comedy scene, running workshops and highly regarded comedy venues including Jokers Comedy Club. He has appeared on Australian TV, been heard on many radio stations and helped write the comedy feature film The Merger in which he has a memorable cameo.
